Artist's statement

I love pictures.

I believe Art reflects one’s deeper self, who we are, our values, our beliefs, and our identity.

I believe Art gives expression to our humanity and spirituality, both on an individual level and a community/collective level.

I believe in the power of Art to connect and communicate, to enrich relationships, to encourage, heal and give hope, especially in these troubled and troubling times.

In my work I’m not trying to achieve or say anything much beyond, “I am here, I am alive.” My art-making is a conversation between me and the world.

I am endlessly fascinated by the language of art, the choices and decisions that it involves.

Everything I see is a potential picture.
